Batteries

Our commitment to environmental responsibility resonates throughout the entire lifecycle of our products. We adhere to stringent standards in environmentally friendly development and manufacturing, and require our products to be safe and have a long service life, with sustainable disposal being a primary consideration.

The batteries are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin (WEEE label), indicating that they should not be discarded as unsorted waste but must be sent to separate collection facilities for recovery and recycling. Batteries too small to display the marking have corresponding information included in the accompanying documentation.

Please review the guidelines provided by your local municipality to ensure sustainable disposal and contribute to resource conservation through recycling.

Markings and symbols

The batteries, along with instances of limited space, will display various markings and symbols in the product documentation, which are essential to understand.

Waste battery prevention and management
  • Our products feature automatic low-battery level notifications, and the majority of batteries used are rechargeable. Save energy by refraining from replacing a battery until it is absolutely necessary or deemed unsafe for the device's operation.

  • Each battery can be recycled if added to the recycling process. Consequently, many important metals can be used in new products. Support us in recycling precious resources. By recycling your batteries, you can help significantly to reduce the carbon footprint.

  • Battery recycling ensures that raw materials are recycled to the fullest, contributing to closing the material cycle. Consequently, approximately four out of five batteries undergo full recycling. An empty battery doesn't mean it's broken or unusable. Instead, it contains valuable raw materials that can be recycled.

  • We are fulfilling the extended producer responsibilities (EPR) by financing waste collection and reporting to the environment protection agencies. We are, ourselves or through affiliation, operating take-back systems and connection to producer responsibility organisations      (PRO´s) designed to meet relevant country specific requirements and legislation.
